Today starts a figurative journey and tomorrow a literal one.
I have decided to take a 6 month class in Shamanism. I have been studying a lot of energy healing, Reiki, crystals, meditation lately and an apprenticeship came up and I decided to take it. I am not really sure what I am in for, but I know it feels right and I am committed.
Tomorrow’s journey is to Orlando for a conference. A bit (severely understated bit) anxious about flying – for the amount that I do it I should be comfortable however my fear always gets the better of me 😦
Last week we took a few days off and went to three National Parks in Utah. Zion, Capitol Reef, and Bryce. We had an amazing time. The pictures don’t even come close to doing it justice. Saturday morning we woke up before 5am to get to Zion by 6am. We wanted to get there to hike the Narrows before the crowds. We did and it was perfect. For the first few hours we only saw 3 or four groups of people. At some points we were hiking alone, in the water, surrounded by huge canyon walls. I would just stop and look up and be in awe of where I was. I felt all of my stress and anxiety just melt away. It is amazing how nature can do that for you!
After a few hours we turned around and then started to run into the throngs of people. At that moment I was so appreciative that Jeff and I both are willing to get up early and experience this hike in a way that many people will not get too.
